The Corporate Citizenship Hall of Fame identifies and commemorates companies and their leaders, employees, and cross-sector partners who have made extraordinary contributions to the betterment of society and brought about a new era where purpose is the foundation for progress.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is honored to induct Abbott into this year's Hall of Fame.

At the center of Abbott's sustainability strategy is the company's purpose: to help people live healthier, fuller lives through life-changing technologies and products. Abbott's 2030 Sustainability Plan is focused on designing access and affordability into its products so more people in more places can benefit from them. The goal is to improve the lives of more than 3 billion people by decade's end – or 1 in every 3 people on the planet, every year.

Abbott will achieve this ambitious goal by integrating access, affordability, and data insights as key design principles for research and development; transforming care for chronic disease, malnutrition, and infectious diseases; and partnering with others to advance health equity and remove barriers to access.

The company is also building a more sustainable business through targeted action in other key areas, including creating a diverse and innovative work force; responsibly connecting data, technology, and care; creating a resilient, diverse and responsible supply chain; and protecting a healthy environment.
