Sasha Nicholas

Sasha S. Nicholas is an associate manager of programs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. She played a key role in developing and executing the historic National Child Care Innovation Summit in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the Foundation. This summit was a significant step in addressing child care challenges and fostering innovative solutions.

Nicholas develops, manages, and implements early childhood education programs to support the Foundation's education and workforce initiatives. She also represents the team in meetings and speaking engagements; drafts one-pagers, briefing materials, and op-eds; and conducts research on education reform policies, legislation, and initiatives.

Nicholas is currently pursuing a Master of Public Management at Johns Hopkins University, with an expected graduation in 2025. Prior to joining the Foundation, Nicholas was a government contractor for ICF International, where she ensured hospitals received accurate funding for COVID-19 telehealth services in support of the Federal Communications Commission’s COVID-19 Telehealth Program. Before that, she served as an intern for special programs in the Office of Administration, a component within the Executive Office of the President at the White House.

Nicholas earned a B.A. in history with a minor in leadership and social change, cum laude, from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Nicholas enjoys traveling, winning in Mario Kart, and spending time with her husband Matthew and their tabby cat, Olly. They live in Northern Virginia.
